Produce of Heaven

Tasmania is an area close to Mark Baker’s heart. A fourth generation Tasmanian, Mark was born and raised in a farming community. Mark also enjoyed success as a State Australian Rules footballer and later pursued a highly successful career in finance and commerce.


As an advocate for agriculture and regional health, Mark was instrumental in the success of the Fairdinkum Food Campaign and secured a $3million Vegevision 2020 program and the Country of Origin labeling . Mark also secured the funds for Food Innovation and many local environmental and water projects to assist in supporting sustainable agriculture projects.

After a period of time, Mark noted that farmers were still not achieving the desired outcomes as had been promoted from the introduction of the Country of Origin labeling. As such he developed a regional food brand “Produce of Heaven” Tasmania in 2009 to compliment the earlier initiatives. The food brand’s objectives are to showcase Tasmania’s find produce on the international stage and by doing so provide an improved return to producers and enable a future for agriculture in Australia.
